Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live (プリティーリズム・レインボーライブ, Puritī Rizumu Reinbō Raibu) is the third series based on the original Pretty Rhythm (プリティーリズム, Puritī Rizumu) arcade game by Takara Tomy and syn Sophia. It was first broadcasted on April 6, 2013 and is still ongoing. The series follows the story of Naru Ayase who is selected to become the middle school manager of Prism Stone. Joined by Ito Suzuno and Ann Fukuhara, they soon follow the world of Prism Shows.

Naru Ayase is an 8th grader who can see the colors of music when she listens to it. For Naru, who is extremely good at deco-ing Prism Stones, becoming the owner of a shop like Dear Crown was her dream. One day, she finds out that the manager of a newly-opened shop is recruiting middle school girls who can do Prism Dance, and immediately applies. Naru begins to Prism Dance at the audition, and an aura she's never experienced spreads out in front of her. At that moment, a mysterious girl named Rinne asks her if she can see "rainbow music".

Naru is the natural air-headed lead character of Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live. Her dream to open a store like Dear Crown arrives when she learns of Prism Stone who is recruiting middle school girls for the manager position. After a number of mysterious occurrences, Naru manages to get the manager position working to make the store successful along with Ito Suzuno and Ann Fukuhara.
Ito is a delinquent that goes by her band name Cross (クロス, Kurosu). Prior to the series, her family was separated; she is currently living with only her father. Ito is soon convinced to join Prism Stone as a makeup manager in order get paid with no intention of being friends with the others. Though that is the case, she ends up being more of a team with both Naru Ayase and Ann Fukuhara.
Ann is the captain of a Prism Dance club capable of many leadership abilities. She prefers making sweets instead of senbei which is completely against the orders of her father whom she fights a lot with. Ann joins Prism Stone as a sweets manager for the sake of making sweets to customers who want to hang out. She is the one who came up with the training program for Naru Ayase and Ito Suzuno when they finally take Prism Shows seriously.
Rinne is an unknown identity suspected to come from Prism World. She is capable of performing a four jump chain which made her instantly famous and usually performs Prism Shows without permission. Always appearing and disappearing in the blink of an eye, Rinne is able to understand and guide the characters despite having amnesia after coming upon an accident when she arrived.
